DTF & Banner Printing FAQ

Quick answers about DTF and UV DTF transfers, gang sheets, file setup, turnaround, pickup and shipping, banners and reorders. Still stuck? Contact our Houston shop.

What is a DTF transfer?

DTF stands for direct-to-film. We print your design in full color plus a white base onto a special film, coat it with hot-melt adhesive powder and cure it. You then press it onto fabric with a heat press. It works on cotton, polyester and blends, in light or dark colors, with no pretreatment.

What is the difference between DTF and UV DTF?

Regular DTF is for fabric and needs a heat press. UV DTF is a cured, raised-ink sticker for hard, smooth surfaces like tumblers, glass and phone cases, and it goes on cold with no press.

What is a gang sheet?

A gang sheet is one 22 inch wide piece of film that you fill with as many designs as fit. You pay by the length of the sheet, so packing many designs together lowers the cost of each transfer.

Should I order a gang sheet or transfers by size?

If you have one design in one size, order by size. If you have several designs, several sizes, or many copies of a design, a gang sheet is almost always cheaper.

What file should I upload?

A PNG with a transparent background, at 300 DPI at the size you want it printed. Our artwork prep guide explains how to check and fix files.

Do you check my artwork?

Our builders warn you about low resolution before you order, and you approve your layout at checkout. We print what you approve, so zoom in and check spelling, size and placement before you add it to your cart.

How fast do you print?

Turnaround is shown at the top of every product page and in your cart. Rush times can change around holidays and very large orders; we will email you if your order needs longer.

Can I pick up my order in Houston?

Yes. Choose local pickup at checkout. We email you when the order is ready. See the local pickup page for our address and hours.

Do you ship outside Houston?

Yes, we ship across the United States. Shipping options and costs are calculated at checkout from your address and order weight.

How do I press DTF transfers?

Most DTF transfers press at about 300–310 °F for 10–15 seconds with medium-firm pressure, followed by a short finish press. Always follow the press card in your order. Our DTF press guide has full settings and troubleshooting.

How long do DTF prints last?

A properly pressed DTF print typically lasts as long as the garment when it is washed inside out in cold water and dried on low. Under-pressing is the main cause of early peeling.

Can UV DTF go in the dishwasher?

We recommend hand washing. Let a new decal cure for 24 to 48 hours before it gets wet, and avoid soaking and scouring pads.

How are vinyl banners priced?

$1.05 per square foot of printed banner. Pick a preset size or enter any custom height and width; the price updates live as you type.

What comes with a retractable banner?

The aluminum roll-up base, your printed 33 × 81 inch graphic installed, a support pole and a carry bag.

Can I reorder a past design?

Yes. Sign in to your account, open My orders and use Buy again. It adds the same product, size and artwork back to your cart.

Do I need an account to order?

No, you can check out as a guest. An account lets you track orders and reorder in one tap. Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your email, so there is no password to remember.
